Update - March 2008

After getting back from Orlando, we took some time to just be ourselves. We went to church and began connecting with our small group. We had some good fellowship although there were tough times. We had to explain everything that happened to us so others would understand. More and more, we realized that people try to understand, but unless you deal with infertility or have lost a child, you really cannot understand. I don't want to sound arrogant or anything, but the only people that come close to understanding are those that deal with infertility and infant loss themselves. We truly appreciate our friends trying to understand and overall they have done a great job of praying and supporting us. We have been grateful for our small group and the friends we have here. Amber and I would be very lonely with out any of our friends.

At the end of March, we made a trip to Lake Charles, LA. Amber's brother, Tommy, who helped set up this blog originally, moved to Lake Charles to be a discipleship pastor at a local church. It was good to see Tommy, Jennifer and of course baby Allie. Allie and I share the same birthday, September 30. Sometimes I like to remind our family of that fact. Anyway, we had a good time visiting them and Amber's parents came as well. It was good to have the family together. We just had good family time watching the basketball NCAA tournament and had dinner with friends and the pastor of Tommy's church. We had a good cajun fish fry. Good catfish and scrimp. Or so we thought. Somehow Tommy and Jenn managed to escape the food poisoning, but the rest of us did not fair so bad. Amber had flashbacks of her nauseating pregnancy and threw up a couple of times. Amber's parents also had issues. I managed to get away with a stomach ache and a bout with the big D. Fortunately the Imodium cleared things up for me. About a week later, Amber and her parents started to feel normal again. Still, it was a good visit and enjoyed seeing our family.
