At Last...32 Weeks!

Amber and I celebrate another marker of 32 weeks! We know that should Emma come early, she will most likely live a normal life despite being pre-mature. According to Amber, this has been the longest pregnancy in the world. When you think about it, I can understand where she is coming from. Amber was pregnant from July 2007 to December 2007 and then again from July 2008 to now. Our doctor joked that Amber has been pregnant for like 2 years. That sounds just about right.

We are trying to get the nursery together. Right now we have all our old furniture put away to make room for the crib and baby furniture. The crib and dresser/combo unit are on order and should be ready to pick up in another week or two. The crib bedding and theme has been picked out and purchased. The stroller or "travel system" was once purchased, but was returned because of a possible recall for safety. It seems that just about every car seat and stroller go through yearly inspections in January. We hope to make another purchase towards the end of the month to see which ones we like are available. It seems the only think left to purchase are a swing which the main dilemma is to get one that works on battery power or plugs into the wall socket. Then there is the all important baby monitors. The video ones look really cool but geez they get pricey. So, really all that is left is to put together the nursery after the furniture on order comes to the warehouse so we can pick it up.

It is only a month away, but Amber is scheduled to have the cerclage taken out on March 2. Emma could come at any moment, but our doctor seems to think that Amber will go to full term. Amber's due date is April 2. Amber has already run out of patience so hopefully Emma will come sometime in March or else I'll lose the rest of my hair!
