2 Weeks to go!

As the title of this entry says, we have no more than 2 more weeks to go. After our doctors visit last Friday to follow up the removal of the cerclage, we were informed by our doctor that we will be set up to induce labor on March 23 if Amber does not go into labor before then. Since Amber had the cerclage to hold everything, it is possible that Amber may not dilate properly. This means the doctor may have to do a C section to deliver Emma. So with that in mind, our doctor thinks it would be best to induce labor. March 23 marks 39 weeks so Emma will be just fine. This is a week before our official due date. We are actually happy to have a March birthdate because at this point, Amber is ready for Emma to come. Amber has finally started to swell and has made up for lost time. She is hanging in there, but the swelling has made getting around a little more difficult. We are ready for Emma to be here!

We did finally get our baby furniture which included a dresser/changer combo unit and a matching crib. We have a small bookcase, a recliner for rocking the baby to sleep, a swing and travel system. Travel system is the new word for stroller and carrier/car seat. The only thing left to find is a small night stand table to place a lamp by the recliner. Hopefully in the next week we will have all this together and I'll try to post a couple of pictures of what our baby room looks like.
