The first half of November was fairly quiet. That was good because the last half was busy. On November 15 we had family dedication at our church. It was good to have Amber's parents Paula and Denny come visit to support us. My brother's family (Todd, Julie, Allie and Ian) also made the trip down from Waco to support us. It was good to see all our family and have a good time together. After that a week later we had Thanksgiving. I took a few days vacation so we could drive up to Nacogdoches to have Thanksgiving with Amber's family. Her brother Tommy, Jenn and Allie also drove up from Lake Charles for the visit. Again, it was good to have time with our family. Emma showed that she is in fact a hand full when it comes to keeping up with her. Since then, nothing has changed, and in fact, she gets into anything and everything. By Thanksgiving, she was crawling well, pulling up on things and just having a grand ol' time!
Sadly, November 29th marked that Amanda would have been 2 years old. Amber, Emma and I went to our park to remember Amanda as well as Andy and Katelyn. It was a tough day since it started to rain some and the mosquitoes were still bad. We had to fight to keep them away from Emma. To help ease our pain, we went to the Colts/Texans football game. It was a good game, but the Texans lost 35-27 after being ahead at half time. Peyton Manning was incredible and one of the reasons we wanted to go to the game. We had a good time, and a good way to escape what the day was really about even if it was for a couple of hours.
